What do I need to use Circa?

A Google Fitbit Air tracker paired with your Google account, and an iPhone running iOS 17 or later. Circa reads the Air's data through the Google Health API — there is no separate Circa account.

Why are my scores empty on day one?

The Air is listening. First baselines form after 3 nights. Until then the halo, sub-scores and forecast show their collecting states — this is by design, not a bug. Circa never shows you statistics it hasn't earned.

When do insights unlock?

Each insight has a minimum number of nights (typically 20) and requires ≥80% log completeness in its window. Until then its card shows progress, e.g. "collecting · 9 of 20 nights needed." Insights that fail their confidence interval for 14 consecutive days are retired automatically.

How does the Tonight forecast work?

A transparent linear driver model: caffeine at bedtime, late nicotine, evening stack, zone minutes and sleep debt each contribute a signed amount you can inspect. It starts with sensible coefficients and re-fits to your own nights (ridge regression) once 30 nights exist. It recomputes on every log.

What is demo mode?

A synthetic persona with pre-seeded numbers so you can explore the full app without connecting an account. It is clearly badged "demo data" and fully wiped when you exit.

How do I export my data?

Profile → Export all data. You get a CSV of every intake plus a complete JSON dump (settings, stack, daily metrics, insights, raw datapoints) via the share sheet.

Widget and Siri logging

Add the Circa widget to your Home or Lock Screen for one-tap logging of your three most frequent intakes. Or say "Log an espresso in Circa" to Siri.

Sync seems stale

Pull down to refresh on any tab. In the background, iOS allows Circa to refresh roughly every 15–30 minutes — matching the band's own sync cadence. If the band hasn't synced to Google Health, Circa can't see new data yet.
